PDG - Philippine Dimensional Guard

@PDG — Philippine Dimensional Guard

The Philippine Dimensional Guard (@PDG) was established in 2048 following the Manila disaster of 2044, when Gate backlash overwhelmed local defenses. The split from wider regional commands gave the Philippines its own agency to protect cities and islands on its terms. Fortress Manila became the headquarters and central lattice node, linking national @KHATIM arrays and @Seal Key depots. The @PDG’s mandate is simple: defend megacities, secure the island chains, and prepare citizens to fight until reinforcements arrive.

The Urban Divisions anchor the @PDG. They fortify Manila, Cebu, Davao, and other population centers with layered @KHATIM posts, sealed refuge tunnels, and breakwater barricades along coasts. Their operations prioritize keeping cities functional even during multi-cycle outbreaks. Island-Hopping Brigades extend coverage across the archipelago, using patrol craft, cargo ferries, and rotary-wing lifts to move Breakers, @Seal Keys, and array parts. These brigades expect long deployments with little backup and rely on compact caches staged at coastal outposts.

The People’s Guard militias are the third arm. Civilians are trained in basic containment, evacuation drills, and salvage handling. They carry radio-linked alarms, form barricades, and buy time until brigades arrive. The militias use locally improvised weapons and repurposed salvage, including chitin plates and crystal charges made in field labs. Their role keeps remote towns tied into the defense network despite lean funding.

Doctrine follows ISCSW—Isolate, Starve, Cull, Suture, Watch—but adapted to an island nation. Array kits are modular, designed for rapid transport by boat or air. @Seal Keys are prepared at Fortress Manila and regional suture yards, then tuned on site during operations through a @Seal Key Bath. The @PDG logs relics by Gate ID and cycle, but international observers note gaps in data sharing. Cooperation with the @GGA is careful: the @PDG accepts standards and Blue Shield coordination but resists foreign oversight on Philippine soil.

Breakers under the @PDG are drawn from communities. They are treated as neighbors who stepped forward rather than distant specialists. They receive formal training, but their improvisation and stubborn resilience shape operations as much as doctrine. By 2060, the @PDG is known as resource-poor but deeply committed, carrying the trust of citizens who see their defenders as their own.
