Dungeon Break: Monster Part Harvesting System

Core Rule

When a monster is defeated near a Gate, its body may yield Relic Materials. What you get depends on the type of monster. All harvested parts must be tagged with provenance (Gate ID, date, and team).


Harvesting Steps

  1. Kill & Secure – Make sure the surge is over. Clear the area of other threats.

  2. Stabilize the Body – Neutralize dangerous parts first (glands with lime, thermal nodes with clay, cryo sacs with brine).

  3. Extract Materials – Cut, crack, or drain organs, bones, or fluids using field knives and kits.

  4. Tag & Store – Record the Gate ID and pack items into labeled containers. Many decay quickly, so speed matters.

  5. Turn In or Craft – Deliver to a safe zone for processing, trade, or immediate crafting.

Insect Monsters (beetles, wasps, mantises, etc.)

Beast Monsters (giants, orcish brutes, alien beasts, etc.)

  • @Resonant Bones

  • @Carapace Plates & Scales (for scaled types)

  • @Tendon Cords & Sinew

  • @Gyro Stones (from large predators)

Undead Monsters (zombies, ghouls, liches, etc.)

  • @Resonant Bones

  • @Gloom Marrow (restricted, rare)

  • @Ichor (thick, decays quickly)

Dragon Monsters (wyrmlings, drakes, ancient types)

  • @Carapace Plates & Scales (high quality)

  • @Thermal Nodes / @Cryo Sacs (depending on dragon type)

  • @Photic Eyes & Photophores (from light-breathing drakes)

  • @Echo Cores (rare from elder types)

Worm Monsters (burrowers, acid types, tremor worms, etc.)

  • @Corrosive Glands

  • @Pressure Pearls (sometimes found in worm stomachs)

Aberration Monsters (tentacled, shifting, mind-bending forms)

Construct Monsters (animated armor, stone golems, clockworks)

  • @Riftstone fragments (often fused into their cores)

  • @Riftglass (for advanced constructs)

Demon Monsters (imps, shadow demons, brimstone maulers)

Ooze Monsters (slimes, acidic blobs, electrified jellies)

Universal Drops

  • @Ichor – Common fluid from nearly every monster. Used as a base binder.

  • @Resonant Bones – Found in many mid-tier monsters.

  • @Carapace Plates & Scales – Common for insect, beast, and dragon types.

  • @Tendon Cords & Sinew – Pulled from most medium to large monsters.


Restricted Harvests

Some parts are highly controlled and need permits:

  • @Phase Teeth – From specialized cutting monsters.

  • @Gloom Marrow – From undead or shadow demons.

  • @Rim Seeds – Rarely found inside elder monsters; unstable.
