Every bounty hunter in the world knows this list. The world Gate authority keeps it, and every bloc agrees to pay it. It names the fifty criminal Breakers the Gate agencies want most, what each one is worth, and where they were last seen. The list is posted on every bounty board, in every Breaker hall and on the hunter channels. It is updated whenever someone is caught, killed or seen.
Who can hunt. Any licensed Breaker or licensed bounty hunter can take a name from the list. No contract is needed. Unlicensed hunters are paid nothing and are charged for any damage they cause.
What it pays. The full bounty is paid in Credits for a live capture handed to any Gate agency. A confirmed kill pays half. Information that leads to a capture pays one tenth to the person who gave it.
Rank is not the whole story. Some of the lowest ranks on the list hold the most power. They run the money, the maps, the bribes and the recruiting for their organizations. Others have a rare power that makes them deadly to ordinary people even though a trained Breaker can beat them. These names are where new hunters start, and taking one out can cripple a whole organization.
The top of the list. The S and S+ names are walking disasters. The world Gate authority advises that no team below A rank should engage them. Their bounties are large enough to buy a city block.
Last seen. The last confirmed sighting is listed. Most of these people move often, and the trail is usually cold by the time a hunter arrives.
