The Undying
[If you've found yourself here, these are class feats I've created for when the feat update drops. I'm placing them here temporarily for anyone who is nosy and wants to look at them ahead of time.]
Class Name: The Undying
Core Fantasy: The Undying is a constitution-based Breaker who uses necromancy as a tool of war, turning battlefields and cleared Gates into supply lines for skeletal and spectral troops. They endure like the dead they command and scale from small squads at low rank to full tactical legions by S-Rank.
Level 1 Features
Grave-Born Resilience (Level 1)
Your body is hardened by constant contact with death.
Rules:
You have advantage on death saving throws.
You have resistance to necrotic damage.
You are immune to disease.
Corpse Marshal (Level 1)
You are trained to turn fresh dead into an effective vanguard.
Rules:
When you create an undead creature using one of your class spells, that creature gains temporary hit points equal to your level + your Constitution modifier (minimum 1).
While a creature has these temporary hit points, its speed increases by 10 feet.
A creature can benefit from only one instance of temporary hit points from this feature at a time. Creating a new creature does not remove temporary hit points from older ones.
Level 3 Feature
E-Rank: Grave Network (Level 3)
At E-Rank, you learn to treat your undead as your eyes and firing positions.
Rules:
You can communicate telepathically with any undead creature you created with your class spells while it is within 1 mile of you. You and the creature must share a language to communicate complicated ideas.
While a creature you created with your class spells is within 60 feet of you, you can choose to use that creature’s space as the point of origin for a class spell you cast that has a range other than self and targets creatures you can see.
When you do so, you measure the spell’s range and area from that undead creature’s space instead of your own. All other aspects of the spell stay the same.
Level 7 Feature
D-Rank: Deathwall Phalanx (Level 7)
At D-Rank, your undead form a moving wall that protects and slows the enemy.
Rules:
While you are within 5 feet of at least one undead creature you created with your class spells, you and that creature each gain a +1 bonus to AC.
Enemy creatures treat all spaces within 5 feet of any undead creature you created with your class spells as difficult terrain.
This difficult terrain does not affect you or your allies.
Level 10 Feature
C-Rank: Legion Optimization (Level 10)
At C-Rank, your personal skill makes every strike from your legion hit harder and move in better order.
Rules:
An undead creature you created with your class spells adds your proficiency bonus to the damage of its weapon attacks and spell attacks. A single attack can benefit from this bonus only once.
When you roll initiative, you can choose any number of undead creatures you created with your class spells that are present. Those creatures use your initiative count and act immediately after you on that count, instead of rolling their own initiative.
Newly created undead during combat can also be assigned to use your initiative count when they appear.
Level 13 Feature
B-Rank: Grave Tide (Level 13)
At B-Rank, you can order a sudden coordinated surge from your entire line.
Rules:
As an action, you choose a number of undead creatures you control that you can see within 60 feet of you, up to a maximum equal to your proficiency bonus.
Each chosen creature can immediately move up to its speed and then make one weapon attack or one spell attack.
This movement and attack does not cost the creatures their normal actions, and it does not provoke opportunity attacks.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 16 Feature
A-Rank: Deathless Authority (Level 16)
At A-Rank, your presence locks your legion against fear and control.
Rules:
You are immune to the poisoned condition and the frightened condition.
You and undead creatures you created with your class spells have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
Undead creatures you created with your class spells cannot be turned or frightened while they are within 60 feet of you and you are conscious.
Level 20 Feature
S-Rank: Absolute Command (Level 20)
At S-Rank, you can seize control of almost any undead presence on the field.
Rules:
As an action, choose up to three undead creatures under your control that you can see within 120 feet of you.
These three undead creatures become Commanders and gain the following benefits:
Commanders gain resistance to all damage types.
At the start of each of your Commander's turns, they regain to hit points if they have no more than half of their hit points left.
In addition, select one Commander, they gain the following benefit:
This Commander becomes an Elite Commander. Elite Commanders become one size larger and deal an additional 1d10 damage on all their attacks.
