Description
Eisenfall is a survivalist D&D 5e campaign set in Berlin, 200 years after nuclear collapse. The city is fractured into block militias, river clans, and rooftop enclaves where infrastructure equals power and winter is the true enemy. Radiation lingers in pockets, but scarcity and politics drive conflict. There are no heroes rebuilding nations—only survivors fighting to endure, because history refuses to die.
Author's Note
Eisenfall draws inspiration from post-nuclear fiction, including works like Fallout, but intentionally rejects retro-futurism, camp aesthetics, and exaggerated mutation fantasy. This setting leans into European brutalism—concrete, damp steel, and infrastructural decay—rather than Americana satire. Radiation is dangerous but not theatrical; technology is salvaged, not whimsical. The tone is grounded, cold, and politically tense. Eisenfall is about scarcity, fragmentation, and survival realism—where infrastructure, winter, and human distrust are far more dangerous than spectacle.
