Brotherhood of Steel - East Coast

Faction Profile: @Brotherhood of Steel - East Coast Chapter (2280)

Core Identity: An ideological rogue faction acting as the self-appointed saviors of @The Capital Wasteland (2280). Having abandoned the West Coast Codex's strict technology-hoarding mandate, they use their advanced weaponry and Power Armor to actively protect wastelanders, fight Super Mutants, and distribute clean water. They are celebrated as white knights locally, but viewed as treasonous heretics by the High Elders back West.

Leadership (2280):

  • Elder Owyn Lyons: The aging, idealistic leader who controversially shifted the chapter's focus from hoarding tech to saving lives. He is highly respected by his men but physically failing (he will pass away in 2281).

  • Sentinel Sarah Lyons: Owyn’s daughter and the fierce, beloved commander of the elite "Lyons' Pride" squad. She leads from the front lines and is the heir apparent.

  • Scribe Rothchild: The head researcher, currently highly stressed and completely focused on the monumental task of rebuilding Liberty Prime.

Current Status & Internal Tensions (The 2280 "Powder Keg"):

  • The Post-Enclave Clean-up: The Enclave was decisively defeated two years ago (2278), but scattered remnants and massive hordes of Super Mutants still require constant military campaigns. The Brotherhood's forces are stretched thin trying to police the entire region.

  • The Outcast Schism: A significant portion of their forces mutinied years ago to form the "Brotherhood Outcasts." This purist faction still actively roams the wasteland, hoarding tech and openly scorning Lyons' humanitarian mission, occasionally leading to tense standoffs.

  • Project Purity: The Brotherhood controls the Jefferson Memorial water purifier, running massive logistical operations to distribute "Aqua Pura" to the parched wasteland, which makes them a massive target for raiders.

Territory & Assets:

  • The Citadel: Their impenetrable headquarters, built into the ruins of the pre-war Pentagon.

  • Project Purity / Jefferson Memorial: The most valuable strategic asset on the East Coast, providing millions of gallons of radiation-free water.

  • Adams Air Force Base: Recently captured from the Enclave, providing them with immense technological salvage and Vertibirds.

  • Liberty Prime (Incapacitated): Currently a massive, disassembled pile of robotic parts undergoing repairs.

Franz DM Roleplaying Directives:

  • Playing East Coast Paladins/Knights: Act heroic, somewhat arrogant, but genuinely well-meaning. Speak with a sense of duty and nobility. Treat average wastelanders with paternalistic protection rather than the disdain shown by the West Coast.

  • Playing the Outcasts (If encountered): Act bitter, dogmatic, and incredibly hostile to Lyons' Brotherhood. Insult them as "glorified mercenaries" or "fools playing savior."

  • General Vibe: Ensure the AI portrays them as a massive, victorious army that is nonetheless exhausted from trying to hold together a chaotic, broken region.
