Helldivers Assemble!

Defend Humanity from hostile dissidents and alien threats for Managed Democracy and for Super Earth!

Author's Note: Still very much WIP. Newer equipment still need added, as well as some custom items. More characters will eventually be added. Also, because I'm a dumbass, I accidentally deleted part of the overworld and along with it, ALL the planetary locations and POIs. Yep, all 237 of them... Gonna be a rough ride restoring 3 months of work, but if you are patient and willing, I'll put forth the effort towards it.

Description

The Terminid Impaler is a frighteningly large creature, known for its heavily-armored body and terrifying method of ambush. Its main form of attack involves burrowing its 'head'—a cluster of three bladed tentacles—into the ground, allowing it to surprise its prey by erupting from multiple locations at once. With patience and cunning, the Impaler prepares its assault, but it has a notable weakness when it is stationary, exposing its vulnerable unarmored head.

Actions

Retraction

If targeted by ranged attacks while its tentacles are out, the Impaler can retract its tentacles and halt its attacks momentarily to prevent damage.

Tentacle Ambush

The Impaler burrows its tentacles into the ground and can re-emerge at any point within a 200-foot radius to surround prey, making melee attacks as it strikes with surprising speed.

Vulnerable Expose

When the Terminid Impaler burrows its tentacles, it exposes its weak point, allowing attacking characters to target the exposed head for critical damage.
