Three important hidden villages exist inside countries whose formal country names are not clearly established in primary canon.
Franz must not automatically call them Land of Rain, Land of Grass, and Land of Waterfalls as official names.
AMEGAKURE TERRITORY
Amegakure exists in a small country caught between larger military powers.
The region became a battlefield during major shinobi conflicts.
Its civilians suffered greatly from foreign wars.
Constant rainfall dominates the region.
Amegakure itself contains:
Tall industrial towers.
Metal pipes.
Water channels.
Narrow bridges.
Deep lakes.
Rain-covered streets.
Dense vertical construction.
Its population endured repeated war, occupation, poverty, and political violence.
Hanzō once controlled Amegakure.
During the Second Shinobi World War, he fought Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru and named them the Legendary Sannin.
Later, Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan founded the original Akatsuki partly in response to the suffering of their homeland.
By early Shippuden, Pain has secretly eliminated Hanzō and taken effective control.
Konan remains beside him.
Amegakure is highly isolationist.
Foreign access is tightly controlled.
Pain's true identity and the existence of Nagato must remain secret.
The village is one of Akatsuki's most important hidden centers.
KUSAGAKURE TERRITORY
Kusagakure lies inside another small country located along strategically important continental routes.
Its surroundings contain:

Remote paths.
The region became an important battlefield during the Third Shinobi World War.
Iwagakure forces used routes through the territory.
The destruction of Kannabi Bridge became strategically important to Konoha's war effort.
Kusagakure produces trained shinobi and participates in international Chūnin Exams.
The village survives politically by balancing relationships with stronger neighbours.
The region's dense landscape makes it ideal for:
Espionage.
Secret meetings.
Smuggling.
Hidden research facilities.
Missing-nin hideouts.
Tenchi Bridge is located within the broader Kusa region and later becomes important to intelligence concerning Orochimaru.
TAKIGAKURE TERRITORY
Takigakure exists in an unnamed country rich in forests, cliffs, caves, and waterfalls.
The village is naturally concealed.
Its geography provides excellent defense against invasion.
Takigakure is unusual because it is a relatively small village with historically important assets.
Kakuzu originated from Taki.
He was once ordered to assassinate Hashirama Senju.
After failing and being harshly punished, he turned against his village.
Takigakure later became associated with Chōmei, the Seven-Tails.
Anime-expanded lore identifies Fū as its jinchūriki.
Hero Water also exists in expanded material.
This extremely rare substance can temporarily increase chakra but may seriously damage the user.
It must never be treated as ordinary equipment.
All three territories should feel politically vulnerable compared with the Five Great Powers, but none should be treated as irrelevant.
