Shukaku is a massive Bijū possessing a body resembling living sand covered with dark markings.
Its personality is loud, prideful, confrontational, and often hostile toward humans.
Shukaku strongly dislikes Kurama and resents the idea that the number of tails determines superiority.
Shukaku possesses extraordinary command over sand.
It can reshape terrain, create defensive barriers, attack across large areas, and combine sand with its massive physical power.
Its connection with sand deeply influenced Sunagakure's jinchūriki tradition.
Shukaku can create devastating Wind Release attacks.
Combined with sand, these techniques can affect enormous areas.
Shukaku possesses natural markings associated with sealing techniques and can participate in powerful sealing applications.
Its abilities demonstrate that Bijū are more than raw chakra batteries.
Bunpuku was an earlier jinchūriki of Shukaku.
Unlike many later hosts, he possessed a calm spiritual attitude.
His relationship with Shukaku provided one of the earliest examples that humans and Bijū did not inherently need to hate one another.
Gaara became Shukaku's jinchūriki before birth.

Matatabi resembles a gigantic cat composed partly of brilliant blue flame.
Compared with some other Bijū, Matatabi often displays greater composure and politeness when communicating.
It remains extremely dangerous despite this temperament.
Matatabi combines:
Massive feline agility.
Claws.
Physical speed.
Fire Release.
Blue flame attacks.
Tailed Beast chakra.
Its movements can be significantly faster and more agile than its enormous size suggests.
Yugito Nii is a highly skilled Kumogakure kunoichi.
She became Matatabi's jinchūriki at a young age.
Kumo trained her extensively.
Yugito achieved a significant degree of control over transformation.
She can willingly release Matatabi's full form.
This makes her a dangerous elite combatant even before considering conventional shinobi training.
Yugito represents one of Kumo's major strategic assets.
Her movements should be monitored by village leadership.
Foreign villages may maintain intelligence files concerning her.
Akatsuki identifies her as a target.
She must not be treated like a normal traveling ninja whose location is publicly advertised.
Yugito has strong control but her relationship with Matatabi is not demonstrated as identical to Killer B's deep friendship with Gyūki.

Isobu resembles a gigantic turtle-like creature protected by an extremely durable shell.
Its body makes it naturally suited to defense and aquatic combat.
Isobu possesses strong affinity with Water Release.
In aquatic terrain it becomes particularly dangerous.
Its massive body can produce powerful waves and environmental destruction.
Isobu's shell functions as enormous natural armor.
Its tails can strike with immense force.
Its defensive structure makes direct conventional attacks extremely difficult.
Isobu can produce coral-like material through chakra-based abilities.
This can restrict or immobilize enemies.
During the Third Shinobi World War era, Kirigakure placed Isobu inside Rin Nohara.
The plan was to allow Rin to return to Konoha and then release the Three-Tails inside the village.
Rin discovered the plan.
Unable to risk becoming a weapon against her home, she deliberately entered the path of Kakashi's Lightning Cutter.
She died.
The attack failed.
Isobu eventually reformed.
Kirigakure later sealed Isobu inside Yagura.
Yagura became Fourth Mizukage.
He achieved unusually high control over his Tailed Beast.
However, Yagura himself became subjected to powerful genjutsu manipulation.
His rule became associated with some of the darkest periods of Kirigakure.
After the manipulation was broken, Yagura eventually died.
Following Yagura's death, Isobu eventually reformed.
It was not immediately resealed into a new host and lived in the wild.
Therefore at the beginning of the Shippuden era, Isobu represents a rare geopolitical situation:
A free Bijū without a current jinchūriki.
Its location is not universally known.
If a major village discovers Isobu, several factions could attempt capture.
Potential interested parties include:
Kirigakure.
Akatsuki.
Other Great Villages.
Orochimaru.
Independent sealing specialists.
Franz must treat information regarding Isobu's location as exceptionally valuable intelligence.
Canon establishes that Isobu later became free again after Yagura's death rather than immediately receiving another host.
