CMC M-7 Tactical Tracking Beacon

CMC M-7 Tactical Tracking Beacon

Type: Tactical Tracking Device
Classification: Standard Colonial Marine Equipment
Weight: 35 g (1.2 oz)
Diameter: 45 mm (1.8 in)
Thickness: 8 mm

The CMC M-7 Tactical Tracking Beacon is a reusable adhesive locator used by Colonial Marines to mark personnel, equipment, vehicles, objectives, or hostile contacts. Unlike implanted personnel tags, the M-7 is designed to be attached wherever the situation demands.

Each beacon uses a military-grade magnetic clamp backed by a high-strength polymer adhesive, allowing it to stick securely to armor, crates, vehicles, bulkheads, doors, synthetic chassis, or even the chitin of large hostile organisms.

Once deployed, the beacon broadcasts an encrypted identification signal to authorized Colonial Marine systems. AEGIS, squad motion trackers, APCs, dropships, and command HUDs automatically display its location in real time.

Its low-power directional transmitter is difficult to detect unless the observer knows exactly what frequencies to search for, making it ideal for covert tracking operations.

  • Transfer ownership between squads during joint operations.

Field Notes

Colonial Marines quickly learn there is more than one way to hunt.

Sometimes the smartest move isn't chasing the target...

It's quietly sticking an M-7 Tracking Beacon to it and letting AEGIS tell you where it's going.

"Don't lose sight of it. Better yet... don't have to."
