800–1300 Fell: The Guilds and the Regent
As centuries passed, Odrun Fell transformed from frontier outpost to a city of chitin towers, silk markets, and ironbound law. Four great guilds rose from the lifeblood of trade and delving—@The Barleys, @The Ashcoats, @The Promissory, and @The Cudgel—each holding sway over a district. To bind them in unity, the Regent’s Seat was established, a ceremonial post elected once each decade by the guild council. The Regent held little direct power, but in times of deadlock their vote could tip the fate of the city.
It was in this age that Odrun Fell’s districts took form— @The Sprigs for the elite, @The Barrows for labor, @The Spindle for trade, and @The Hilt for delvers. Walls were raised, roots were cleared, and the city became both fortress and jewel—ever poised between the wealth of its guilds and the peril of the greatclub’s depths.
