P.E.R.N.

Pern, a rugged planet orbiting the star Rukbat, was settled by humans seeking peace from a war-torn galaxy. Their dream of simplicity was shattered by deadly silver spores—Thread—that rained from the Red Star. To survive, they bred dragons from native fire-lizards, bonding telepathically with riders to burn Thread from the skies. Across vast Weyrs, Holds, and Crafts, Pern’s people live in rhythm with their dragons and the perilous skies they defend.

I very much enjoyed the thought of playing a DnD style campaign in this world from my childhood. I adored Anne McCaffrey's books growing up. This world is still very much a work in progress. I have not yet added all the locations and characters nor any of the lore. Play will be very disjointed for a bit as I flesh things out, tweak and tune. I am bringing in as much information from the wiki and canon as I can to establish cohesion, though gameplay will begin in the year 2538 after the last written book, The Skies of Pern.
