Overview


@Gloomdeep was once the greatest goblin city beneath the Northern Crags — a geometric masterpiece of sunstone-lit halls, vaulted galleries, and master-crafted stonework. Over a thousand years ago, it was consumed by Corpse Plague, transforming its vast expanse into a necropolis filled with abominations, corrupted dead, and demons born from the ruptured Veil. Today, Gloomdeep remains sealed and cursed — a tomb echoing with the memory of civilization.

History

  • The Crown Jewel of Goblinkind: The height of goblin achievement — a subterranean metropolis of industry, art, and faith in sunstone light.

  • The Fall (1,000+ years ago): The Corpse Plague erupted in the tombs of @The Vaults . The Veil split under the pressure of countless trapped souls, transforming the dead into horrors and plunging the city into ruin within months.

  • Gloomreach’s Sacrifice: The neighboring goblin city, @Gloomreach , sealed the tunnels, condemning all within to contain the outbreak. Goblinkind barely survived.

  • Rediscovery (100 years ago): The @Order of the Last Light breached the seals but found only plague and death. Their retreat birthed @The Ashen Vigil , sworn to burn the corruption out forever.

Description


Once a place of geometry and order, Gloomdeep now lies shattered — its halls filled with corpses, fissures, and ash. Pale veins of sunstone still glow amid ruin, while corrupted green light seeps from the Vaults below. The city is divided into three primary layers: the @Upper Galleries closest to the surface, @The Pillar Warrens deep within the supporting columns, and @The Vaults — the necropolis heart where the plague began.
