Gloomdeep – City Structure
Upper Galleries
Description:
The @Upper Galleries form the entry districts of @Gloomdeep , closest to the surface. Here the goblins built their civic centers, markets, archives, and temples. These halls were lit by veins of sunstone, glowing with pale radiance to mimic the sun they could never touch. During the fall of Gloomdeep, fire and collapse reduced much of this layer to ruin. Today, the Ashen Vigil maintains @Emberhold here as their forward bastion against the necropolis.
Points of Interest:
@Emberhold – The Vigil’s stronghold and pyre bastion.
@Sunstone Forum – Civic plaza, once filled with trade and council.
@Ashen Market – Jewelers’ market turned to ash and pyre ground.
@The Silent Archive – Records of goblin clans, trade, and histories.
@Sunken Sanctum – Temple to the sun, once sealed, now broken.
@The Ash Pit – Collapsed market pyre; corpses half-burned, revenants rise.
@The Fractured Mirrors — Cracked sunstone mirrors holding trapped souls; whisper constantly.
The Pillar Warrens
Description:
Beneath the galleries lie @The Pillar Warrens , the true heart of goblin habitation. Carved around colossal support columns, the Warrens housed thousands in stacked dwellings, supported by aqueducts and broad roads. This was where daily life thrived — homes, governance, and infrastructure. When Gloomdeep fell, collapses and flooding turned these warrens into a labyrinth of ruin. Today, revenants haunt the drowned tunnels and shattered spires that once held the city together.
Points of Interest:
@The Drowned Aqueducts – Flooded tunnels, arteries of the city.
@The Fallen Spire – Collapsed watchtower, vertical passage downward.
@Warden’s Hall – Seat of goblin council, now a hollow ruin.
@Mire of Echoes — Drowned residential block; revenants spawn underwater.
@The Hollow Council — Council chamber where leaders died; spectral forms linger.
The Vaults
Description:
The lowest level of Gloomdeep, @The Vaults were sacred halls where goblins buried their dead and stored their greatest treasures. Rich veins of gems and precious metals were mined here, supporting their jewelcraft and wealth. The Vaults also held the ancestral tombs, lit by sunstone veins that symbolized eternal dawn. When the Corpse Plague erupted, it began here, rupturing from the tombs and spreading through the city. Now the Vaults are the most dangerous and corrupted part of Gloomdeep, where the dead outnumber the living a thousandfold.
Points of Interest:
@The Ember Tunnels – Mines and forges of precious metals and gems.
@Sepulchral Vaults – Ancestral tombs, halls of memory.
@Ruptured Crypts – The site of the plague’s first breach.
@The Black Maw — Veil rupture fissure; demonic claw-marks and smoke.
@The Bone Galleries — Catacombs split open; bones and revenants everywhere.
@Shattered Reliquary — Sacred chamber of relics; treasures glow with trapped souls.
