Angel Falls
A waterfall that flows from a nearby mountain directly into the abyss. Many of nicknamed the waterfall "Angel Falls" for it's majestic beauty. A large source of fresh water is supplied here.
Atlas University
Atlas University is the premier institution for magical education, renowned for its vast library and museum filled with rare magical artifacts and ancient tomes. Adventurers frequently visit to study the ten known levels of the abyss, seeking knowledge before embarking on perilous quests. Enrollment is highly competitive, typically reserved for those with innate magical talents or exceptional intellect, ensuring that only the most capable students are admitted.
Black Chalice Tavern
Likely the most populated tavern in town. A place where patrons and explorers share stories of the abyss or share a final drink before their decent with the nearby Gondola of the Abyss. Many folk from all walks of life come to this tavern. Only those who have descended into the abyss are allowed into the VIP patio area overlooking the abyss.
Crags Elevator
Crag's elevator is situated within an abandon vertical mineshaft. Crag a elderly goblin has since built his house at the entrance of the tunnel to keep Mondragon officials unaware of the illegal abyssal transportation operation he runs. Mostly used by criminals or those unable to afford the steep price to use the Gondola of the Abyss. Charging half the price and can get you almost to the second level of the abyss. Although many opt to use crags elevator many do not return. Veteran delvers cite the allowance of untrained explorers into the second layer to be the primary cause of death of many.
Gondola of the Abyss
Gondola of the Abyss is the foremost used Way to descend into the Abyss's first level. Situated just outside of the famous tavern the Black Chalice. To use the Gondola you must be permitted by the Empire of Mondragon as well as screened by the Abyssal delving association. Essentially it's just a way for the government to tax those who wish to delve for treasure and keep untrained individuals out.
Harkins Colosseum
Harkins Colosseum stands as a beacon of battle, gambling as well as illicit business activity. Run by the notorious crime lord Harkin. A 9th level abyss delver who made his fortune on transporting monsters of the abyss above to be slaughtered in glorious combat. He also operates a black market of magical items and relics brought from the abyss. Steep prices, quality wares. Mondragon officials have yet to shut him down.
Light of LeCroix
The Light of LaCroix stands at the center of the city. Ever burning with magical light. Casting illumination over the city of LaCroix Reste and keeping the darkness just outside of the city walls at bay. A pinnacle of safety among the void of darkness that is the 10th level.
Mondragon Palace of affairs
A majestic palace perched on a hill overlooking the whole city and abyss. The palace is heavily guarded with marble walls and high iron gates. Prince Arkhay Mondragon runs the city from his palace. A young but fair man runs the island to the best of his ability. Many delvers come here to get their Mondragon stamp of approval to enter the abyss.
