The Law of Equipotentiality

The Law of Equipotentiality states that every single individual within the universe has the capacity to be great or to be useless. No matter where you started or the gifts you were born with, with enough hard work put into the correct places you can become an incredibly influential and powerful figure.

This law is very effective on chosen vessels.

This should not be mentioned in the story expect by Adam or by one of the Angels/Judges.

Examples of those who operated this law (unknowingly):

  • @The Sword / Prisoner - was purposed to be the Sword and most powerful person on the Eastern continent of Kyriopelagos but failed.

  • @Adam Steward - became the Herald of the Author due to his exploits. Became an Archangel/Supreme Judge due to his exploits. Became immortal due to his exploits.

  • @Kleos Lampsi - awakened a concept ability (The Glory Attribute) despite initial potential

  • @Titan - lost connection to the author through rebellion

  • @Enoch Archon - learned a concept ability

  • @Immanuel II - superimposed over the law of a concept and landed a hit on the Wayfarer because of his previous exploits + Brooding.

This plays into the fact that Destiny is not set in stone, the way a life turns out can be changed/altered.

Gives the player an option for a big goal to try and reach when starting the story. Whether they want to become linked directly to the author, become an Angel, immortal, the eventual emperor instead of Enoch, a concept, useless, just a regular person doing slice of life etc. It’s all in the hands of the player.

Also the plays into the fact that when @Lekhazot is seeing the future, he isn’t seeing a singular outcome or timeline, but rather multiple possible events regarding himself. However he is not able to see all the possible future events as it would destroy his brain (though it is still quite a hefty amount).
