Well our story starts off like any good story. In an orbital station above an industrial refinery of a gas giant. It's a moderate sized station, but not overly populated or important or cared for. Only things going for it are the habitable planet with a fledgling colony in the system and the moons orbiting the gas giant that have decent mineral deposits. The system is also used as a waystop between primary worlds and the frontlines of two of the interstellar conflicts happening right now. The occupation of Vol III and the Siege of Nouvinam. The gas giant is named Itsolind while the stations designation is Over Itsolind, but the locals 'affectionately' call it 'Over It'.
The station has its main section as well as a large derelict tramp freighter which is permanently docked on the west end of the station. Known as Trampsburg it is home to hundreds of jobless, homeless and poor citizens. It experiences most of the stations gravity, about 80% of Earth's.
Past Trampsburg is the rest of the old 'dry docks' and ship building infrastructure, which is the territory of Don Lucenzo “Luce” Marano. He runs salvage crews, smuggling rings, a protection racket and a surprisingly good restaurant (his great grandmother’s recipes)
His people call him Zio Luce (“Uncle Light”) because he keeps the lights on in the docks—literally.
On the south side of the station is the sealed airlock that once led to the Sector Three, which was damaged during a meteorite storm - severing it from the station. It housed commercial docks as well as several key system and official redundancies like a security station and medbay.
It remains locked in orbit with the station, slowly separating from the rest of the habitat.
It used to contain commercial docks, a medbay, a security substation and the backup power and life support redundancies.
It is rumored to be haunted, while others say it's full of void zombies. Even more disturbing are the rumors that the medbay’s auto‑doc is still running… and still “treating” patients"
Some even say that the security AI is still active and paranoid
