Discord Bot Privacy Policy
Side Quest Labs, Inc. (“Side Quest Labs,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) operates a support bot in the Discord servers we run for Friends & Fables and Craft. This policy explains what that bot collects, why, and how long we keep it. It covers the bot only; our general practices are described in the Friends & Fables Privacy Policy and the Craft Privacy Policy.
Where the Bot Operates
The bot runs only in Discord servers we own and operate, and only in a fixed list of channels within them — primarily our public support and bug report forums. It does not read direct messages, and it does not join or collect data from servers we do not operate.
What the Bot Collects
When you post in a channel the bot watches, it records:
- The content of your message, including any attachments, embeds, and links you post.
- When you posted, whether the message was later edited or deleted, and the reactions added to it.
- Your Discord account identifiers: your user ID, username, global display name, and your nickname in that server.
- Information about the channel or forum thread your message is in: its name, its forum tags, and whether it has been archived.
How We Use It
We use this information to run customer support: to turn bug reports and questions into tracked issues, to see the full history of a report when we reply to it, and to know who to follow up with. We also send the text of support threads to a third-party large language model, which drafts a summary and suggests a severity for the person handling triage. Your messages are not used to train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, ours or anyone else’s.
We do not sell this information, share it for advertising, or use it for any purpose beyond supporting you and improving our products.
Where It Is Stored
Message data is stored in a private database on hardware we control, and attachments are copied to Cloudflare R2, our storage provider. Neither is public. Access is limited to Side Quest Labs personnel and the automated support tooling described above.
Deleting Your Messages
You stay in control of what we hold. If you delete a message in Discord, we delete our copy of it. Shortly after Discord tells us the message is gone, its content and any attachments we stored are removed from our records, and they do not come back. The same applies to a forum thread you created and then delete. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need to explain why.
Messages you leave up, we keep for as long as they remain useful for supporting you and making product decisions.
Your Choices
If you would prefer that the bot not record what you write at all, do not post in our support forums; you can email us at support@fables.gg instead. If you would like us to remove everything we hold about you rather than individual messages, email us at the same address and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the date below.
