World Map Builder 2.0.2 + ACE 1.5.2

5/24/2025By Friends & Fables

Hey folks, Will here. While David is hard at work on the memories upgrade, I’ve taken some time to knock out a few quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. I’ll be focused on bugs for the next few days, so if there’s anything major still bothering you after this update, please let me know!

World Map Builder 2.0.2

  • Fixes issue placing new characters in-campaign

  • Adds a back button to the right hand side panel in the map editor

  • Clicking on area will only select if if you are zoomed out enough to fit the whole area in the window. This is to prevent accidentally selecting the background area when you are zoomed in closely.

  • Updates minimap to use the same underlying code as our map editor, so it is much more performant now!

  • Fixes snap to current location button

  • Fixed issue where map did not load properly in Firefox

  • Fixes issue where child areas do not move/resize with parent areas

  • Fixes issue where you could not resize or rotate in auto mode

ACE 1.5.2

  • Uses upgraded model in narration/conversation modes. Let us know if you feel an improvement!

  • Improves travel through areas. The following types of prompts should now work:

    • “I head to [area]”

    • “I go deeper into [area]”

    • “I head towards the northern border”

  • Fixes issue where area mentions do not always work

  • Fixes issue where area descriptions are not always red

  • Fixes issue where Franz would generate an existing area as a POI

  • Fixes issue where Franz would speak for player characters in multiplayer. Generally improves Franz’s understanding of player characters, in-party NPCs vs other NPCs.

  • Prevents multiplayer campaigns from triggering Franz multiple times

  • Reduces instances of code blocks outputted

  • Reduces refusals

Other

  • Fixes issue where other player’s typing indicators were not appearing

  • New players joining campaigns will start at the host’s current location

  • Fixes issue where notifications did not dismiss when you hit the X
