A large fiendish demon known for its droning sound that can incapacitate foes, resistant to cold, fire, and lightning, and immune to poison. It has a proboscis attack that deals piercing and necrotic damage, reducing the target's hit point maximum.

Proboscis

Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 16 (4d6 + 2) piercing damage plus 24 (7d6) necrotic damage, and the target's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken. If this reduces the target's hit point maximum to 0, the target dies. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest or is affected by greater restoration.

Variant: Summon Demon (1/Day)

The chasme attempts a magical summoning, with a 30% chance to summon one chasme. The summoned demon appears within 60 feet, acts as an ally, cannot summon others, and lasts 1 minute or until dismissed or death.
