Description
The Shrieking Birds are a species of terrifying, mutated avians that haunt the skies. Their piercing shrieks can disorient unwary adventurers and cause temporary deafness. These creatures often attack in swarms, using their overwhelming speed and numbers to harass and overpower their prey, creating a cacophony of shrieks that can drive even the bravest warriors to madness.

Piercing Shriek
The Shrieking Birds let out a deafening shriek in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw, taking 2d6 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature that fails this saving throw is also deafened until the end of its next turn.
Swarm Attack
The Shrieking Birds swarm around a target. Each bird deals 1d4 piercing damage, and if at least five birds attack the same target in the same turn, they can deal an additional 1d4 damage as they overwhelm the creature with their numbers.
