Description
The aquatic homeworld of the Illuminate species, pre-dating the emergence of humanity and Homo sapiens by a millenia. Large, floating cities made of a smooth bone-like material cross the surface, and there are many alien orbital stations near the planet. Evolved from a prior aquatic lifeform, the Squ'ith rapidly evolved and went down the path of electricity in the same way that humans went from rocks to bullets. Rapidly they became an empire, using telepathy and advanced AI to expand. Led by the Illuminate High Council, the society was fuedal and caste-based. With the defeat of the Illuminate in the First Galactic War, they managed to retreat to Squ'Bai Shrine before disappearing into an unknown pocket dimension.
