Goryeo

Seongseong, high in the Cheonggyesan Mountains, is a sacred series of ancient caves that have been revered for generations. These mystical caves, shrouded in dense forests and steep rocky slopes, are often sought after by wandering monks in search of solitude and spiritual enlightenment. With small stone altars still present in the larger caverns, visitors come to seek blessings of prosperity and protection, believing in the ancient spirits that inhabit the depths. The cool, humid air adds to the caves' ethereal ambiance, while at night, the distant winds create an echoing sound that heightens the mysterious aura of the location.
