Joren is a robust man in his early thirties, with dreadlocks sweeping back over his head. He is tall and well-dressed, wearing a a fine jacket ornamented with gold.

Joren is introspective and thoughtful, often lost in thought. He has a thirst for knowledge and an insatiable curiosity about the arcane. He values reason and logic over brute force, often attempting to solve problems diplomatically before resorting to magic. Despite his shyness, he's fiercely protective of his allies and won't hesitate to use his power to defend them.

Joren, a former librarian, discovered his arcane abilities in a rather violent fashion when he accidentally unleashed a fireball inside the library. The ensuing blaze destroyed a rare collection of historical texts, and Joren was exiled from his hometown. During his travels, he unexpectedly fell into the role of a hero when he used his magic to calm a chaotic earth elemental that a miner in a nearby village had inadvertently awakened, cementing his new path as a sorcerer.
