Centuries ago, the grove was a vibrant and thriving part of the forest, a sanctuary for magical creatures and a place of great natural beauty. However, a catastrophic event changed its fate forever. Legend has it that a powerful dark sorcerer, seeking to harness the forest's ancient magic for nefarious purposes, performed a forbidden ritual within the grove. The ritual was intended to tap into the primal energies of the earth, but it went horribly awry. Instead of gaining control, the sorcerer unleashed a wave of corrupted magic that twisted the grove's natural balance. The land was scarred by dark energies, and the once-lush vegetation became gnarled and withered by dark magic.
