Ashen Lands

Deep in Velciran Forest, perched atop a lonely hill, stands a gnarled oak known as the Weeping Tree. The air around it is heavy, and an unsettling silence lingers, as if the forest itself is holding its breath. Some stories speak of decaying figures hanging from its twisted branches—grim tokens of old executions, or warnings left behind by passing bandits. But those who dared to approach tell a different story—one far more disturbing. They say the figures are the missing people from nearby villages, impaled on the branches and crudely bound in place.
