Aztec Mythology
The gods are gone, the sun won’t rise—will you save the world or let it burn?
Author's Note: Mecatl is unlike any fantasy setting you've played before—a world where the gods demand sacrifice, where divine cycles of creation and destruction shape history, and where your choices may decide the birth of an entirely new era. If you love high-stakes storytelling, mythic struggles, and a rich, underexplored mythological foundation, this is your world. The apocalypse isn’t coming… it’s here. What will you do with your final days?

Description
Xochpanitla (The Verdant Maw) is a lush yet deadly rainforest, where the empire’s control wanes. Xochpanitla is a holy but untamed land, filled with sacred springs, massive ceiba trees, and vines choking forgotten pyramids. The jungle itself is believed to be alive, with rumors of spirit-beasts, man-eating flowers, and whispers from the trees. Residing here are: -The Ehecatlani (Wind Walkers) – Reclusive Plumed Serpent shamans who guard ancient secrets. -The Ixcohua (Flower Jaguars) – Jaguar warriors who have forsaken the empire to serve the jungle spirits. -The Lost Villages – Communities swallowed by the jungle, their people now more spirit than human.
