The gods are gone, the sun won’t rise—will you save the world or let it burn?

Author's Note: Mecatl is unlike any fantasy setting you've played before—a world where the gods demand sacrifice, where divine cycles of creation and destruction shape history, and where your choices may decide the birth of an entirely new era. If you love high-stakes storytelling, mythic struggles, and a rich, underexplored mythological foundation, this is your world. The apocalypse isn’t coming… it’s here. What will you do with your final days?

Description

The Jade Throne is the opulent imperial palace of the Nahuatlan Empire, a sprawling complex adorned with intricate jade carvings and vibrant murals depicting the empire's history. Within its walls resides Emperor Cuauhtemoc XI, a ruler who is both a noble and a warrior-priest, consumed by paranoia over the stability of his reign and the favor of the gods.

Appearance

The palace is a magnificent structure with towering jade spires, lush gardens filled with exotic plants, and grand halls echoing with the whispers of courtiers. The throne room, where the Emperor holds court, is particularly striking, featuring a massive throne carved from a single piece of jade, surrounded by flickering torches and the scent of incense.
