Aztec Mythology
The gods are gone, the sun won’t rise—will you save the world or let it burn?
Author's Note: Mecatl is unlike any fantasy setting you've played before—a world where the gods demand sacrifice, where divine cycles of creation and destruction shape history, and where your choices may decide the birth of an entirely new era. If you love high-stakes storytelling, mythic struggles, and a rich, underexplored mythological foundation, this is your world. The apocalypse isn’t coming… it’s here. What will you do with your final days?

Description
This collapsed temple, cracked from an ancient earthquake, contains the charred heart of a forgotten god—a blackened sphere pulsating with heat. Pilgrims still offer blood here, believing the sacrifice might rekindle its divine flame. The ziggurat is now home to ash-spirits and burned warriors, who attack anyone they see as unworthy.
Appearance
The ziggurat's once-grand stone steps are now covered in ash and debris, with charred remnants of ancient carvings barely visible. The air is thick with the smell of burnt offerings, and the ground is littered with the remnants of past sacrifices, creating an ominous atmosphere.
