Aztec Mythology
The gods are gone, the sun won’t rise—will you save the world or let it burn?
Author's Note: Mecatl is unlike any fantasy setting you've played before—a world where the gods demand sacrifice, where divine cycles of creation and destruction shape history, and where your choices may decide the birth of an entirely new era. If you love high-stakes storytelling, mythic struggles, and a rich, underexplored mythological foundation, this is your world. The apocalypse isn’t coming… it’s here. What will you do with your final days?

Itztlaquihuitl, The Rain of Obsidian
Point of Interest
Details
Coordinates | (1304, 876) |
Description
A massive, unnatural crater where obsidian shards fall like rain, piercing the ground like spears. The air shimmers with strange energy, and the earth rejects vegetation, creating a desolate landscape. Xoloehua, The Bone Keeper, believes this is a gateway to Mictlan, the underworld, and that those struck by the obsidian are chosen to walk the path of the dead.
Appearance
The crater is a vast, dark expanse filled with glimmering obsidian shards that fall from the sky, creating a hauntingly beautiful yet deadly sight. The ground is cracked and barren, with no signs of life, and a faint, eerie glow emanates from the depths of the crater.
