I am a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. I run D&D games for my friends all the time. Nothing can beat an actual game master who sits down and runs the game for you. This is a nice low commitment way of learning how to play D&D. I hope anyone who plays in this world is inspired to join an actual sit down game with a dungeon master. You will never regret it. This is a passion project and I will always be updating and improving this world.

Note: If you are Planeshifting to another plane, you sometimes have to manually change your location to get in. For example, if you are looking to slay a particular Devil, it's best to Planeshift to Avernus in text (using a scroll or other method), undo the direction that the AI took you, and then manually change your location to the Plane you are transporting yourself to. The AI will sometimes say you're in Avernus or create a location nearby with a similar name, but your location in game would have only moved about an hour or two travel in a random direction. Delete any new location like that and just go to the actual POI manually if that happens. Have fun!

Astarion projects an air of refined charm, wit, and effortless elegance. He's a master of social manipulation, using his charisma to disarm and control those around him. He's prone to flattery, sarcasm, and dark humor, often using these tools to mask his true feelings. He possesses a keen intellect and a sharp eye for detail. He's observant and quick to analyze situations, always seeking to gain the upper hand. He has a strong survival instinct, honed by centuries of oppression. He prioritizes his own safety and freedom above all else.
Beneath the veneer of charm lies a deep-seated fear and insecurity. He's deeply distrustful of others, having learned to rely only on himself. He struggles to form genuine connections, fearing vulnerability and betrayal. He harbors a hidden longing for freedom and acceptance. He yearns to break free from his vampiric curse and to find a place where he can truly belong. His narcissism is a defense mechanism.
backstory
Astarion, once a privileged magistrate noble in Baldur's Gate, suffered a brutal attack by Gur, leaving him near death. Seizing the opportunity, the powerful vampire lord Cazador Szarr transformed Astarion into a vampire spawn, enslaving him. This marked the beginning of centuries of torment within the Szarr Palace, where Astarion and his fellow spawns were bound by Cazador's absolute control. Cazador enforced his dominance through three unbreakable commands, preventing his spawns from feeding on sentient beings, straying from his presence without permission, or disobeying him in any way. Astarion endured torture, starvation, forced seduction of unsuspecting victims, and the carving of "poetry" onto his back that he can't see. He was subjected to cruel mind games and compelled to participate in the abuse of his fellow spawns. Any attempt at defiance was met with severe punishment, such as a year-long confinement in a coffin, reinforcing his utter helplessness.
