Description

In the elven stronghold of Evereska, the House of the Moon is a temple dedicated to Selûne but respected by all who revere the heavens. It is famous for its nightly rituals, star-gazing towers, and magical observatories, said to be the closest place in Faerûn to the stars above. It is populated by elven scholars of all types, especially from the evening onwards, and most come here to observe the movements of the stars and planar events.

Appearance

The House of the Moon rises from the heart of Evereska like a dream sculpted in silver and moonstone. The temple’s architecture is elegant and ethereal, composed of flowing curves and soaring spires. Its walls are crafted from pale, iridescent marble and flecked with crystals that glimmer with soft, lunar light even during the day. Great crescent arches and high-vaulted ceilings are supported by slender columns carved to resemble moonbeams. Wide windows and open terraces face the night sky, allowing the stars and the pale moonlight to bathe the sanctuaries within. Balconies and observation platforms jut out over serene gardens, filled with silverleaf trees, pale blue flowers, and reflecting pools that mirror the sky above.
