House Fey-Branche, an ancient drow house from Narbondellyn, Menzoberranzan, held the fifth position by 1484 DR. Led by Matron Mother Byrtyn Fey, it commanded 12 nobles, 300 soldiers, and 400 slaves. Historically unlucky with noble deaths, they served House Baenre to gain favor. Their heavily defended, triangular compound featured an adamantine wall with a single gate, protected by lightning bolt spells and shriekers. While outwardly allied with House Baenre, there's a growing undercurrent of their desire to secede, seeking greater independence in the treacherous drow hierarchy.
House Fey-Branche's compound in Narbondellyn is a defensive, triangular fortress designed for absolute security. Imagine a towering, seamless adamantine wall, dark and foreboding, with a single, heavily reinforced gate as its only entry. The wall itself would hum with the faint crackle of lightning enchantment, ready to deter any unauthorized approach. Within, three grim, angular towers anchor each corner, vigilant sentinels overseeing slave pens, troop quarters, and the nobles' temple to Lolth. Its appearance strongly conveys a house that values impregnable defense above all else.
