backstory
Michael Townley (now De Santa) grew up in a rough neighborhood and got involved in crime at a young age. He became a notorious bank robber, eventually settling into a life of luxury after making a deal with the FBI, faking his own death to escape his criminal past. However, after a few years of living in witness protection in Vinewood with his family, the monotony of suburban life has left him frustrated, and the old urge to commit crimes resurfaces. His old ties to his criminal past pull him back into a world of violence, deceit, and chaos.
