Annesburg is a lively mining town located in the center of Roanoke Ridge, renowned for its extensive coal mining activities that have lasted nearly a century. As the most modern settlement in New Hanover, it has a population larger than both Valentine and the nearby Van Horn Trading Post. However, despite its wealth, the town is consistently enveloped in a thick, dark fog created by its active coal operations. The rivers are polluted, displaying an oily sheen and cluttered with debris from the busy mines.
