backstory
Bred as a null-child between a trafficked Vratheen surrogate and an unlicensed Rethakhul neurotheorist, Lowie was never allowed legal identity. At six, they was sold to a memory purification syndicate in the Spirebelt. By thirteen, they had been implanted with over 200 fragmentary echoes, and eventually discarded as too unstable. They wandered until The Orphanage of Hope, also known as The Hollow Nest took them in—not out of pity, but because the other discarded children recognized their unspoken memories as familiar. They now serves as a kind of passive guardian, absorbing emotional trauma for the Nest’s most fragile.
