Shadowfell

A tall, imposing woman with ashen skin and silver hair that flows like mist. She wears dark, ornate armor adorned with symbols of the Raven Queen, and her piercing violet eyes seem to see into the very souls of those she encounters. A spectral sword, glowing faintly with ethereal light, is always at her side, a reminder of her past as a paladin.

Stern, unwavering in her duty, and deeply loyal to the Raven Queen. Despite her unwavering adherence to the Queen’s laws, Elthara struggles with the occasional pang of doubt—was her fall from grace inevitable, or is she merely a pawn in the Raven Queen’s plan? Elthara’s loyalty to the Raven Queen is absolute, though she has begun to question whether the Raven Queen truly knows what she’s doing with the Rift. She believes that the balance of death must be restored, and thus, the Rift must be sealed at all costs. However, she is deeply aware that the Shadowfell is a land of endless entropy and believes she may be fighting a losing battle. Elthara may see the adventurers as potential allies or tools in her mission. She may task them with missions to seek out renegade souls or aid her in investigating the deeper secrets of the Rift. If the party proves themselves, they may even become her trusted agents—though this comes with a heavy moral cost.

Once a celebrated paladin of light, Elthara met her end in a fierce battle against the forces of darkness. In death, she was bound to the service of the Raven Queen, becoming the High Justicar of the Shadowfell. Now, she oversees the collection of souls and ensures that the Raven Queen's will is executed throughout the realm, grappling with her lost purpose and the weight of her new duties.
