Dûrmhadrûn, the Citadel of Brownsteel Carved into the heart of Mount Vharûndrak, Dûrmhadrûn was the pinnacle of dwarven engineering and a symbol of a long-extinct golden age. Its entrance is a wall etched with runes of living basalt, guarded by colossal sentinels that once moved under the command of the royal voice. Endless halls of carved granite and columns veined with mithril support an underground metropolis filled with living forges, council chambers, and halls of crowns. At its height, Dûrmhadrûn minted enchanted iron coins, controlled the mineral routes of the Tharozan Mountain Range, and stored artifacts from prehistoric eras. But its downfall came under the fire of Varthugal, the Ruin-of-Selhas, a cataclysmic wyrm drawn to the magical vibrations of the Brownsteel forges. Unable to contain it, the dwarves sealed the gates with sacrifice-bound seals, turning Dûrmhadrûn into a living crypt.
