No respite, and definitely no reform.

Author's Note: WIP - Testing an ambiguous, non-magic murder mystery. Check out the **Message #, Time, & Annotation** Custom Instruction. I was playing around with different ones I found on Discord. This one is buggy while playing multiplaer, but if you're solo, it rocks, IMHO!

Downtown Rochester

Downtown Rochester

Downtown Rochester is the heart of the county—a cheerful, walkable center where everyone seems to know everyone, and life moves with a neighborly rhythm. Brick storefronts line the main street, home to the local diner, the town newspaper, and a well-loved bookstore with a cat in the window. On quiet afternoons, the library hums with whispered conversation and the turning of pages. Rochester Municipal sits at its center, where civic life is handled with a handshake and a smile. Flower boxes hang beneath every window, and shop bells chime with every hello. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast at the Mourning Bell, browsing antiques, or stopping by the post office, there’s always time for small talk and shared stories. Seasonal decorations mark every holiday, and porch lights stay on just a little longer here. Downtown Rochester isn’t just the center of town—it’s the rhythm of daily life, stitched together with kindness and routine. roam in out out of shops, diners, and local stores.

Rochester

Rochester

Rochester County is a picturesque coastal region along Maine’s Atlantic shore, where tree-lined streets lead to harbors dotted with fishing boats and white-painted homes. The town is known for its strong community, seasonal festivals, and quiet way of life. Neighbors know each other by name, and visitors are often greeted with a smile and a warm plate of something homemade. The county’s calendar is filled with small-town traditions: farmers’ markets in the square, quilting groups at the library, and parades that bring everyone out, rain or shine. Generations of families have called this place home, and their care shows in every well-kept porch and painted picket fence. Whether walking to the corner store, stopping for coffee at the diner, or watching the tide roll in at dusk, life in Rochester moves at a steady, welcoming pace. There’s no rush here—only the quiet comfort of belonging, where every road feels familiar and every stranger feels like a friend.

Rochester Reformatory

Rochester Reformatory

Rochester Reformatory rests on a rocky cliff overlooking the wide, churning waters of the Atlantic. The view from its grounds is sweeping and salt-laced, with gulls circling high above and waves breaking far below. Built in the mid-20th century, the facility has been carefully maintained, blending its sturdy original design with bright, modern touches. Inside, sunlit hallways display murals painted by local artists, and wide windows open to the sound of distant surf. Visitation rooms are clean and comfortably furnished, and staff greet guests with warm professionalism. Offices and patient wings are quiet and organized, with bookshelves, flowers, and bulletin boards offering small signs of care. The Reformatory partners with community groups to host wellness events and seasonal gatherings. Though perched at the town’s edge, it remains part of Rochester’s welcoming rhythm—a place focused on care, dignity, and a deep sense of human connection.
