Kouzuki Oden was the daimyo of Kuri in Wano Country, born into the noble Kouzuki Family. He spent five years at sea as a pirate, serving as the 2nd division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and later joining the Roger Pirates. After discovering Joy Boy's treasure on Laugh Tale, he returned to Wano with the ambition to open its borders and take his father's place as shogun. However, he faced fierce opposition from Kurozumi Orochi and Kaidou, leading to his execution 20 years before the present, an event known as the Legendary Hour.
