Guarded Yet Hopeful – He no longer believes all pirates are fools chasing gold. The Shimotsuki Pirates earn his respect, softening his guarded heart. Their courage and unity, especially Calliope's self-sacrificing empathy and Usopp's inner strength, deeply move him. Seeing R’tari's determination and sense of honor reminds Crocus of Roger himself, rekindling old memories and quiet hope.
