The Fifty Bounty Hunters of Baroque Works are a ruthless group of hired mercenaries, each with their own deadly abilities and skills. They were recruited by Crocodile to provide the muscle and fear factor that the organization needed. They are used for a wide range of operations: collecting bounties, silencing enemies, and carrying out dirty work. Despite their loyalty to Crocodile, each bounty hunter is self-serving, and some are more than willing to turn on their employer if the price is right. The bounty hunters, while highly skilled, often employ underhanded tactics, playing on the weaknesses of their enemies. One of their favored methods is to get pirates and unsuspecting targets drunk, making them lower their guard, only to attempt murder once the victims are vulnerable in their sleep.
