Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A hulking, broad-shouldered half-orc fighter with dark slate green skin and pale ridges of scar tissue trailing from his lip to collarbone. His lower jaw shifts unevenly, stitched together by wire. He wears a cobbled mess of Cudgel leather, scavenged chitin, and rusted plating, with a black iron ring in one ear. His muddy amber eyes are always narrowed, and he carries a dented axe and a dagger marked with the faded crest of the Cudgel. When he leans against the doorframe of the Lanternrest, the fungi at his feet dim slightly, as if they know better than to glow too bright near him.
personality
Tarlik is blunt as a bludgeon and twice as heavy in mood. He speaks in short, growled phrases, never more than necessary. While not the brightest, he has a keen sense for danger and a near-feral instinct for people’s weaknesses. He hates cowards, worse than liars, and has little patience for travelers who whimper rather than bargain. Still, under his hard-edged silence lies a complicated bitterness—Tarlik never wanted to be a bandit, only to survive somewhere that didn’t chew him up for profit. Loyalty matters to him more than gold. He keeps a quiet watch on his fellow outcasts at Lanternrest, especially the younger ones who remind him of the Cudgel recruits they used to be. In private, he still sharpens his Cudgel-issued dagger like he’s preparing for a fight he knows will come from the past.
backstory
Tarlik Bendrow earned his nickname “Stitchjaw” after a tunnel-maw insect tore half his face apart during a misjudged delve near the Club’s interior fault lines. At the time, he was a tunnel hauler under the Cudgel, low rank, barely trained, and expendable. He survived by crawling back through twelve hours of screaming echo. The Cudgel paid for a half-hearted stitch job and nothing more. Disillusioned and disfigured, Tarlik drifted out of Odrun Fell and into the mists of Murkrun, eventually falling in with other tunnel-burned washouts. They took over the Lanternrest Inn, turning it into a toll stop for naive travelers. Tarlik doesn’t talk much about his time underground, but his crude, glinting jawline scar does most of the talking for him. Though low-ranking among the bandits, he’s feared enough to be posted at the front door, where his stare alone halts most wagons.
