Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A rail-thin elf wizard with elongated features and smooth, pallid skin dusted with pollen. His straight hair, the color of dried silk, is tied back in a corded chitin clasp. He wears a resin-threaded robe layered in mothwing motifs, with a high collar and concealed pouches for preserved antennae and scent samples. His pale lavender eyes, with almost no visible whites, are off-putting yet focused. He carries a lacquered staff tipped with a split pincer for manipulating delicate samples, and his gloved hands move with surgical precision. Oth walks slowly and deliberately, his unblinking gaze making others feel as though they’re under dissection.
personality
Oth is coldly curious and reverent only toward complexity. He sees all life, especially insect life, as iterations of biological poetry—neither moral nor monstrous, just patterns that demand understanding. He speaks softly and precisely, favoring technical vocabulary even when addressing simple questions. Oth has little patience for sentiment or superstition, believing ignorance is more dangerous than even the most venomous strain. His respect for Jezabel Varlas is absolute, but it stems from intellectual admiration, not loyalty. Though not unkind, he is deeply detached, often forgetting basic social niceties if distracted by a morphologic anomaly or pheromonal bloom. His students fear disappointing him more than they fear failure; he doesn’t raise his voice—he simply stops acknowledging them.
backstory
Oth Venmair was born to a long-standing Barley line known for engineering pigment-variable spinnerflies. Rather than following his parents into silk production, Oth developed a fascination with the outliers—the specimens that didn’t conform, the breeds that spiraled into collapse, the failed strains locked behind warning glyphs. He earned Jezabel Varlas’s attention by reconstructing the lineage of a venom-bloom beetle thought sterile, uncovering that its aggression could be triggered by scent echoes of extinct feeder wasps. Since then, Oth has served as the lead Archivist in the Varlas Breeder’s Archive, keeping meticulous records not only of stable lines, but also of the unstable ones—the strange, dangerous insects quarantined behind acid-sealed doors. He teaches advanced morphology to high-ranking Barley tenders, dissects failed specimens, and reports directly to the Matriarch on emergent mutations. Some say he prefers speaking to insects more than people.
