The Regent's Foyer is the main entryway into the estate. Here is where visiting dignitaries, guild envoys, and hopeful petitioners are all received all under the careful eye of estate attendants trained in etiquette and some in espionage. All arrivals into the Regent's Estate are documented and questioned, unless prior notice is given. Regent Myra Thorneveil is very relaxed compared to her predecessors and will often meet with anyone who seeks an audience if she is available.
The foyer is broad and echoing, its floors crafted from polished onyx inlaid with copper veins that trace the silhouette of the greatclub itself. High arches rise into vaulted ceilings, hung with silk banners bearing each guild's crest. In one corner, a caged orchid-beetle hums quietly, its wings diffusing a calming perfume. Every piece of furniture—benches, shelves, even the quill stands—is carved from dark resinwood and polished until glassy, reflecting the firelight of slow-burning chitin sconces.
