The Plain of Standing Stones, a desolate heart within Anauroch, sprawls between the frigid High Ice and the sandy Sword, a harsh expanse of gravel and jagged rock perpetually scoured by fierce winds. This barren wasteland, less a desert than a rugged, unforgiving terrain, teems with hardy creatures adapted to its brutal conditions. Dominating the landscape is the Pillar of Tauros, a crooked spire of stone, a sacred battleground for dragons vying for nesting rights. Scattered across the plain are landmarks of note: Aerithae's Rest, a rare fertile valley offering respite; the ominous Dark Bones Rift, a chasm of unknown depths; and the shimmering River of Gems, a peculiar feature amidst the stark landscape.
