The Shinobi World

In the ashes of the Second Great Ninja War, a boy named Nagato is born in the shattered land of Amegakure, a child of war refugees who suffer under the constant pressure of foreign invasion and civil unrest. During a raid by Konoha shinobi, Nagato’s parents are killed, and in a moment of overwhelming grief, he awakens the dormant Rinnegan, slaughtering the attackers and sealing his place as a being of great potential and tragedy. Orphaned and lost, he soon finds companionship in Yahiko and Konan, two other children shaped by war. Their lives change when they are discovered by Jiraiya, who trains them in ninjutsu, instilling in them a hope that they might one day save their homeland from the endless cycle of conflict.
