The Shinobi World

Amid the height of the Third Great Ninja War, a young team from Konoha—Kakashi Hatake, Obito Uchiha, and Rin Nohara, under the command of Minato Namikaze—is deployed on a critical mission behind enemy lines. Tensions rise as Kakashi, recently promoted to jonin, struggles with the legacy of his father and the burden of command, clashing with the idealistic and warm-hearted Obito. During the mission, Rin is captured by enemy forces, prompting Obito to defy Kakashi’s orders and launch a reckless rescue. Though they succeed in reaching her, Obito is mortally wounded in a rockfall, and in his final moments, he entrusts his Sharingan to Kakashi as a parting gift. Unknown to his comrades, Obito is saved and manipulated by Madara Uchiha, who exploits his grief and shows him a world warped by endless suffering. Believing that true peace can only come through illusion, Obito casts aside his former identity and begins walking the path of darkness, while Kakashi returns to the village as a hero.
