As the Uchiha Clan’s isolation deepens and their frustration with Konoha’s leadership intensifies, the seeds of rebellion take firm root. Meetings are held in secret within the clan compound, and the prospect of a coup becomes more than just talk—it becomes a plan. Itachi Uchiha, now a captain in the ANBU and hailed as a prodigy, is caught between two worlds: his duty to Konoha and his loyalty to his clan. Sensing the danger, Shisui Uchiha, Itachi’s closest friend and one of the few who shares his desire for peace, seeks to avert the uprising using his Mangekyō Sharingan’s powerful genjutsu, Kotoamatsukami, which could subtly change the minds of the clan’s leaders. However, Danzo Shimura, wary of Shisui’s power and unwilling to trust in peaceful solutions, ambushes him and steals one of his eyes, disrupting their plan and sending a grim message. Crushed by the betrayal and out of time, Shisui entrusts his remaining eye to Itachi and disappears, presumed dead.
