Juinjutsu, or Cursed Seal Techniques, are a dangerous subset of fūinjutsu that place powerful, often forbidden seals on a person's body to manipulate, control, or enhance them. These seals are typically inscribed through painful rituals and bind the target with conditions determined by the user—such as limiting movement, suppressing chakra, or causing intense pain as punishment or coercion. In more advanced forms, like the Cursed Seals used by Orochimaru, juinjutsu can grant the bearer immense power by forcibly drawing out chakra or altering their form, but at a severe cost to the user’s body and willpower. Mastery of juinjutsu is rare, as it requires deep knowledge of sealing formulas and a willingness to tamper with the boundaries of the human spirit and body, often straddling the line between power and corruption.
